Batman asked me to tell you something.
World Suicide Prevention Day is Tuesday, but I didn’t really see a reason to wait to share this again.
3,000 people take their own lives every day. Nearly 20 times that number attempt it. Friends and family of suicide victims have a much higher risk of suicide. Please know that your life is valuable. Your ability to say a kind word to a friend or stranger matters. People you don’t even know, people who aren’t even born, can be saved by your ideas. By your actions.
I’ve been in the darkness, too. Bright eyes, looking out of the black. Wrap it around your arms like a security blanket. No, it’s a cape. Now, look at the light in the night sky. Innocent people need your help. Again. Don’t give up. The sadistic clowns, two-bit thugs, and hate monsters can’t win. And they won’t. Not if we’re in this together.
You’re going to need a utility belt.
